Back in 2005 I first visited Kalkan on the Aegean Coast in Turkey. I was there for a holiday
with my family and I was blown away by the beauty and the buzz of the town. As a travel
professional having been managing director of a number of major travel companies in the
UK I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit so many places in the world but
Kalkan was special. It left me with a wonderful feeling and roll forward to 2019 I had
invested in the area, bought a villa and established The Oasis Hotel and Spa as a modern
popular boutique hotel. AND THEN COVID HIT!!!
During lockdown, I kept being asked the same questions from friends and acquaintances.
“Where should we go when we are able to travel again and where should we stay?” My first
recommendation would always be Kalkan, you see, Kalkan is one of those places that
people fall in love with and return to time and time again.
My grown up children suggested that we start a travel company and so MottsMoore.com
was born. They also gave me a different perspective on what travel means to a younger
generation. Due to the longevity of the COVID period and other obstacles it has taken until
now to launch MottsMoore.com but finally we are here and excited!
